The World Taekwondo Academy(WTA) developed educational videos on Taekwondo Poomsae.
The WTA embarked video production with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism from October 2019, it having considered that technically standardized taekwondo Poomsae would be necessary to those taekwondo instructors and practitioners.
The WTA produced the video, laying emphasis on the right technical stances in the course of Poomsae performance, as well as educational training method to generate strength through the natural movement.
And also the WTA made efforts to cover relevant instructions on technical aspects of Poomsae, propounding breathing, movements of valance and organic movements of the central axis in the course of performing Poomsae. The strong point of this video is the content composition that overall flow through demonstration of Poomsae is shown first, and than, explaining the key points of movements by section, and lastly, ‘Follow-the Leader’, which consists of an easy-to-understand sequence.
The video consists of total 28 kinds inclusive of video for color belt holders(Taegeuk 1 Jang ~ 8 Jang) and Poom/Dan holders (Koryo ~ Ilyeo) in 2 languages of Korean and English. The video developed by the WTA is available on Kukkiwon Youtube (Enlish>https://www.youtube.com/kukkiwonpr)
