Reason to Challenge WT Council? 

I have lived with Taekwondo in my whole life, and I really think that Taekwondo is truly a precious treasure inherited by our ancestors because I got so much benefited from Taekwondo, and I always live my life with sincere thankful mind.

I have Taekwondo degree from Yongin University, one of the most well-known Univ. 

in Taekwondo, I achieved Ph.D. degree from University of Minnesota, Big-ten Univ. in USA, majored in Sport Management (emphasis in Sport Marketing) while I was teaching University PE Taekwondo classes and running Taekwondo school. And, I am very much honored and delighted to become a professor at Yongin Univ. where I graduated.  

As a professor in Taekwondo department, and with my Taekwondo background and career, I could have many Taekwondo related licenses including 8th Dan Black belt from Kukkiwon, the 3rd level WT TD, Educator, Kyorugi and Poomsae International Referee, coach license, master instructor’s license and more. Based on those, I could have built so many careers in diverse fields including WT TD, CSB member and other casual committee member. 

My debut in Taekwondo career stated with an appointed competition committee vice-chairman in Asian Taekwondo Union(ATU), and after that I was promoted to deputy-secretary general, secretary general, and now I am an elected first-vice president in ATU.  

My experiences even expanded to administration positions, such as, WT Poomsae Committee member and became a chairman, secretary general of Taekwondo Promotion Foundation (TPF: government institution which runs Taekwondowon in Muju, Korea) and currently I am a chairman of TPF, Dean of Yongin Univ. 

International affairs, and the first vice-president of Korea Alliance of Martial-arts Study.  

So, as I grown-up in Taekwondo as an administrator, I was very naturally thought that it’s payback time. I have started thinking to contribute, help, and support someone need me, my experiences, expertise and talent anything related to Taekwondo.  

I will try best to observe and communicate with Taekwondo fellows with WT fellows, to connect good people, to find out best way of collaboration, and to draw contribution for WT community. I am enjoying and confident to do those works.
